I first heard about digital photo steganography a few years ago and was instantly fascinated.

The possibility of hiding secret information in the data content of an image has continued to interest me ever since. There have been several versions of the software - some of which even allow you to hide a coloured image. The current version includes a “new twist”: the masking image.

Beyond the technical curiosity, I wondered what magical use such a program could have. Consider that we are talking about 5 separate images - condensed into one picture. Here is one possibility for use in magic: energy focusing.

Each image can represent a different aspect of our goal:

1.: The main image that we see and in which we hide the data content of the other images - this image could represent our overall intent.

2.: The things whose effects we want to weaken, we want to eliminate, we want to leave behind.

3.: The things we want to preserve, protect, strengthen.

4.: The desired things we want to achieve.

5.: The magical - and digital - seal that keeps our intentions hidden from unwanted eyes.

In the demo below, I've tried to give you a visual sense of how the images are hidden inside each other.

The software has its own limitations, of course, but I think I've done a really good job so far ;)
